“When we bought our pony he came with a saddle that was not a good fit and needed lots of pads underneath to make it bearable for him. Expecting the same old story (sorry Gini and Dean!) we found that not only did their saddles fit, but we had a choice, all within a reasonable price bracket, of beautiful quality saddles. But the really extraordinary moment was when our pony instantly began moving in an entirely new way – loose and free, stretching long and low without a battle, there was absolutely no doubt that he was truly comfortable. Having discovered Saddle Exchange when looking for a saddle for my daughter’s pony, I bought a beautiful Tor saddle for my pony. It’s clear that she’s happy in it, I’m very comfortable, the saddle is beautifully made, sensibly priced, and, as with Tara and Billy’s Tavy saddle, it gives the rider the feeling of being in much closer contact with the horse’s movement, unlike other saddles which are like a barrier between horse and rider in comparison.
